The programme is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is required for Indian nurses, who intend to register to work as a nurse in the UK.
The programme will provide nurses with the opportunity to build clinical skills and awareness of the UK Health Service through either a three or six month attachment within a hospital or nursing home setting.
The UK Border Agency has now recommended that Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP) students need to apply under Tier 2 of the Points Based System.
The programme is full time and runs for between three to six months depending on the NMC recommendation and condition for registration. To be able to do the overseas nursing programme, students require a minimum IELTS score of 7 for each individual module.
Students need to attend a 20 days protected learning time and complete a clinical work placement within a hospital or nursing home as part of the programme. When the students have successfully completed the programme, they will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and will be able to work as a nurse in the UK.
With our affiliation with various Universities across UK, Seven Seas Staffing can arrange ONP for eligible candidates.
